Kevin Keegan – King Kev T-Shirt
To mark the 70th birthday of Kevin Keegan this month, G2 has launched an exclusive range of t-shirts featuring King Kev in the famous black and white kit of Newcastle United FC where he gave legendary service both as a player and a manager.
Newcastle United FCwere in the second tier when Kevin Keegan joined them in 1982. When he left after two seasons, they had earned promotion after he’d scored 49 goals in 85 games.King Kev returned to manage Newcastle United in 1992 and secured promotion out of the first division and went on to be narrowly pipped for the Premiership by arch-rivals Manchester United. He also signed the club’s greatest ever goal-scorer Alan Shearer.
The action portrait was drawn by celebrated artist Givirn and was commissioned byNewcastle Breweries to mark their Centenary Year in 1984. It has been officially licensed by G2 from Football Legends.
