HARRY KANE – ENGLAND’S GOLDEN BOY

HARRY KANE – ENGLAND’S GOLDEN BOY

Written by journalist and Spurs fanatic Andy Greeves, with a foreword from club legend and coach ‘Sir’ Les Ferdinand MBE, the book takes a look back at the striker’s performances in England’s World Cup matches in Russia which included the first hat-trick at the tournament since 1986 and culminated in Harry Kane winning the Golden Boot Award.

The illustrated paperback also covers Kane’s formative years at Chingford Foundation School, his rejection at Spurs’ great North London rivals Arsenal and loan spells with the likes of Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City prior to his emergence as leading light for club and country and a major contender for the 2018 Ballon d’Or.

As Kane prepares to lead Tottenham Hotspur into their brand new £850m, 62,000-seater stadium, the book also takes a look at his goal-packed seasons with the Lilywhites so far, that has seen him score more than 140 goals for the club including 113 Premier League strikes in just 158 matches. Having recently signed a new contact to keep him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2024, Spurs supporters are looking forward to plenty more goals from a striker they class as “one of our own”.

Voice of Mary Magdalene helps author write sensational new book

Voice of Mary Magdalene helps author write sensational new book

Few women in the history of Christianity have captured the imagination and fuelled so much speculation as Mary Magdalene – particularly after the publication of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. But who was the real Mary Magdalene? Was she really a prostitute? What was the nature of her relationship with Jesus? Why do so many people believe that she and Jesus ended up in France and had children together? And, what (if anything) can Mary Magdalene teach us in today’s turbulent world? Julie de Vere Hunt started hearing an ‘inner voice’ and came to believe it was Mary Magdalene, urging her to write this book. In an easy-to-read A-Z format, de Vere Hunt provides an overview of what we know about Mary Magdalene from religious scholars, the New Testament Gospels and (most recently) from the Gnostic Gospels. The author touches on quantum physics and discusses metaphysical phenomena such as the Akashic Records, Cellular Memory, Meditation and the Zero Point Field as an additional source to establish the truth.Through her inner voice and access to the Akashic Records, de Vere Hunt draws her own (often controversial) conclusions about the myths and legends surrounding Mary Magdalene. “ We all have a spiritual role to fulfil here on earth and our innervoice guides us step by step. There is no right or wrong way to practice. It is the intention which is important.” While some of the author’s hypotheses will seem far fetched and even heretical to some, de Vere Hunt points out that, throughout history, many important theories have caused offence and been met with violent opposition originally. De Vere Hunt is confident her own revelations will be borne out in the fullness of time. She believes that Mary Magdalene is here in our midst now to help us make the transition into the Age of Aquarius where the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine will stand side by side in equal partnership and enable us to live in a better world. Written with undeniable conviction and compassion, de Vere Hunt’s book gives practical suggestions as to how we can all experience ‘heaven on earth’ and offers hope for a better future.

Spitfire aces die before take off of aviation art book

Two of the last remaining Battle of Britain aces – Squadron Leader Geoffrey Wellum and Wing Commander Tom Neil – who both provided forewords for Philip E. West’s first book of paintings, Aviation Masterworks, have died this month before publication of the collection in September. Tieing in with the 100th anniversary of the RAF, the luxury hardback coffee-table book contains more than 150 of Phil’s limited edition prints which fetch up to five figure sums for the originals. He specialises in painting jets and Phantoms and is also a master painter of piston-engined classics particularly Avro Lancasters and Supermarine Spitfires. Each full-colour reproduction carries an explanatory caption, while Philip has composed an Introduction explaining how his paintings have become his tapestry to a remarkable career.
