Cassettes 45 Mixed Tapes – T-shirt
£20.00
This nostalgic design depicts 45 mixed tapes from the heyday of the compact cassette, a magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback. It was developed by Lou Ottens and his team at the Dutch company Philips, and was introduced in September 1963.
The cassette came in two forms, either already containing content as a prerecorded cassette, or as a fully recordable “blank” cassette. Cassettes finally lost the music fidelity battle to CDs and begin slowly disappearing into obscurity in the 2000s.
