- Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were regarded by many as the greatest comedy duo in the history of the cinema. Stan (1890-1965) and Ollie (1892-1957) appeared in more than 100 films together between the 1920s and 1940s.
- Their most notable films included The Music Box, Babes in Toyland, Way Out West, Helpmates, Another Fine Mess, Sons of the Desert, Block Heads and Busy Bodies. The duo’s signature tune was ‘The Cuckoo Song’ played over the opening credits of their films.
